This is hands down!! Pun intended!! The best way to trim baby nails. This is really safe to use and works really well. I initially started with basic baby nail clippers on my newborn and that did not end great...I cut the tip of her finger and it started bleeding. So, I chucked those clippers and started to use this nail file. After a month or so baby's nails started to become robust and growing to where I could use this file and I haven't stopped using it! This thing is great. My son was so wiggly that I couldn’t even clip his nails while he was sleeping. And the advice of “bite them off” doesn’t work for me. My teeth don’t line up. I was skeptical at first but this works so well. I clipped my little baby’s fingers a few times while trying to trim them and so naturally I hated doing it. I bought this when my daughter was a newborn and she’s 5 months now. I couldn’t imagine getting through the nail trimming process without it! I would consider it an essential item. It’s so gentle and doesn’t wake her up at all and she even lets me do it when she’s awake sometimes, though I prefer to wait until she’s asleep. You just have to make sure it’s on the right rotation setting depending on what angle you’re doing it from, otherwise it can do kind of a choppy job. I’m still using the orange newborn file because I don’t see a need to switch it yet. Overall though I’m very pleased with this product and I would definitely recommend it, especially to nervous parents because it makes nail trimming so much easier. It also comes with replacement pads.

My kids HATE clippers. I just did both hands and feet for my kids and didn't hear a peep out of them. The files are organized according to age too. So both my kids(4 and 2) are in the blue file, but newborn will use the pink one. It seriously did such a good job! But not so good that I was afraid of them getting burned. And if you put too much pressure into it, it'll stop the file. Definitely recommend.

Personally I get so bothered with unclean nails and I know how dangerous it might be with babies. So I searched for safe and useful product and I found this. I absolutely recommend it. Safe and get the job done. I even bought it as a gift for my nephews. In my opinion, use level one for (0-4 months) and use level 2 for more. It's strong and has different heads and love the small light in it.

I tried the Nail Frida files, some special baby nail clippers, and the little curved baby nail scissors. None of them were as easy or effective as this thing. Baby's nails are no longer leaving scratches all over everyone.
It took a couple tries to get used to, but I found holding it upside down ended up being the easiest as the red light was then under the nail, which actually made it easier to see what I was doing. When the file hit baby's skin, there was no fuss or even recognition.

I despise clipping my kids nails! I get shaky and nervous and almost always end up clipping their skin. This device is so quiet, the baby doesn't even know I'm filing her nails! It's easy to get set up, just pop in 2 AA batteries. The directions show which file to use for the age of the baby. It comes in a really nice hard case, and black bag. It really is saving me on gloves for the baby, and/or her little scratched face. I wish I had this a long time ago. It also comes with a second set of files. The dremmel type tool isn't spinning too fast, but just fast enough. It won't hurt the baby's skin, if you bump it. I tried to file my daughters nails with the small teddy bear emery board I received from the hospital for the first month or so. Every parent with a baby needs to have this!!! I have to trim my son’s nails almost daily or he scratches his head and face up so badly. Trimming his nails with baby scissors or clippers was difficult because he wouldn’t keep his hands or body still for long and he would wake if I tried to do it in his sleep. What a heaven sent!!! I have a 6 month baby who I am absolutely terrified of cutting her finger and toenails. She loves to move every time a nail clipper gets near her. With our first son we tried several different brands of electric baby nail files/buffers on the market. Their baby little fingers and nails are so small and delicate, we don't trust the traditional nail clippers in fears we would clip more than just his nails... I never knew how much I needed this until I had it!! Trimming nails can be stressful and was something my husband wouldn’t even consider doing. Plus we have a premature baby and her hands were extremely small the first few months. I used traditional clippers in the beginning and somehow stumbled upon the La Mare LED Baby Nail Trimmer Set. It has been an absolute lifesaver and I no longer find trimming her nails a stressful task. Even if the file touches her skin she doesn’t retract or even react to it. The assortment of grits and the ability to use different speeds makes it easy to find the right combination for your baby. My only issue would be that I go through batteries fairly quickly but heck I don’t care because this thing makes our lives that much easier. This product is amazing! My little did great with the clippers and then all of a sudden she decided she hated them and would move around a bunch and it was impossible to cut her nails without cutting her. This trims her nails down fast and easy maybe 2 minutes for all 10 fingers. There's a shield that stops any nail debris that comes off from getting everywhere and a little light that makes it really easy to see. The bed of the trimmer touches the skin and there's no way to avoid that without hurting my little so I was worried it would burn her skin but it doesn't get hot and it doesn't bother her. She usually watches and sometimes giggles when we are trimming them! I wish I had got this from the very beginning as it as different trimmer connectors for ages. New mamas you're going to want this!

I waited about a week and half before first use on my baby because before that his nails were too soft still but after that I use it all the time to file his little sharp talons haha make sure you use the pink one for babies and it even comes with an extra pink pad to change out! Also, make sure when you file to get the corners because otherwise filing makes the corners extra sharp and pointy when they grow out so get all side just pull back the side finger skin a bit. Also, make sure you do this from the very beginning I did and my baby is used to the sound and it kinda puts him to sleep. And since I did it since the beginning he is used to my touching his hands when he is asleep or mostly asleep because that’s when I shave his nails while he is laying in his boppy pillow.

My baby is very squirmy. Even as a day old baby in the NICU incubator he had to be restrained because he was moving too much. My point is that his squirminess has just gotten worse and he will not tolerate clippers. It’s like trying to clip nails on an alligator... but he will sit and watch this file and let me file down his nails. He likes the light and vibrations, it seems soothing to him. So I decided to purchase this nail trimmer because I was tired of my baby's little talons clawing at my breasts during breastfeeding and fed up with not being able to get the nails trimmed via an emory board as our pediatrician suggested. Have you tried rapidly filing a little baby's 10 fingers while they're sleeping? NOT an easy task at all.
I threw in the towel and ordered this product. The next time my baby snoozed I was able to trim down her nails within a matter of 3 minutes! It was so easy and didn't wake her at all. They have different nail rounds for the different stages of your baby's life, so I used the pink round which is super fine. Now my baby's nails are filed down and she can't claw herself which she seems to do when she's in milk heaven, resulting in little scratch marks on her beautiful face. I was very pleased with the quality of this trimmer given it's price. Get it today if you're tired of your baby clawing at you with their little talons!

The first time I tried cutting my newborns nails, I clipped the tip of her finger. I broke down in tears and felt terrible. I refused to use nail clippers again. I found the La Mare LED Baby Nail Trimmer Set so I figured I'd give it a try. Well, it is amazing! It files her nails so nice and smooth. So much better!!!! My wife used to be scared cutting our newborn baby's nail using nail clippers but when she searched on how to cut newborn's nails she saw one of these and asked me to order it immediately. We used to put mittens on our baby all the time because she gets scratches on her face because her nails are sharp. After she got used to using this nail file she now stopped putting mittens on our 3 month old baby. She found out that when you're filing a nail you should switch the direction of the spin in the opposite direction when you get to about the middle of the nail so that the sand paper does not fight the spinning motion and it will go smoothly.
When using this nail file, cut from outermost part of the nail then slowly go to the center of the nail then slide the switch to spin in the opposite direction and this will cut very smooth.

Very efficient, light weight, easy to carry & use. Love the different texture options. My baby does not fuss or pull his hand away. Tested it on my skin first to see if would/could hurt and does not scrape or anything. Did not want to use nail clip as I’ve seen first hand the accidental damage/cuts it can make to a baby’s skin.

I don’t know what I’d do without this nail trimmer. The first time I tried trimming my sons nails with actual “baby clippers” I cut him. So I immediately bought this and am so thankful I did. It takes about 5 minutes to trim all 10 of my 4 month old’s nails. It’s great! I will purchase one for anyone I know expecting!

It’s great! It’s everything I was looking for, for real. I didn’t want to hurt my baby so I was looking for something that won’t hurt him, won’t scare him with the noise and easy for me to use- this is it. I used this product my first day home from the hospital and at least 3 times a week ever since. My baby is 16 weeks old and it’s safe to say she’s never scratched herself or had to wear mittens.
